Tim Dulac and Brittany Dulac are the father-daughter team behind Elderberry Provisions.

Tim grew up in the kitchen, working next to his mother as she prepared meals for their family of 8. He pursued a culinary degree, earning an Associates degree in Culinary Arts and a bachelors degree in Food Service Management from Johnson and Wales University. He worked in kitchens in New England and Philadelphia before gradually leaving the culinary field to spend more time with his family. For most of his professional life, Tim has led operations for hospital systems and surgery centers, earning his MBA from Eastern University in the process. He returned to his passion in the spring of 2023, launching a more homespun version of Elderberry Provisions—a name that honors his mother and father, who lived on Elderberry Drive. He has since been preparing wide ranging snacks and meals—from pies and cookies, to dinner parties and catered lunch in the Louisville area.

Just like his mother did for him, Tim inspired his daughter Brittany’s love of cooking—going back to some of her earliest memories. Many of their favorite times together are cooking meals for their family—from weeknight dinners, to big celebrations, to holiday feasts, and everything in between. This love of cooking has been a guiding force in Brittany’s life, and she has spent countless hours learning, reading, and honing her skills in the kitchen. In 2021, in response to friends who were tired of cooking after months of the pandemic, Brittany started working as a private chef in Los angeles, where she created weeknight meals, desserts, snacks, and party menus for a select group of clients.

Tim and Brittany have always dreamed of opening similar places, something kind of like a deli: counter service, focused on delicious, accessible bakery, lunch, and dinner options, accompanied by a catering vertical that would allow for bespoke meals and event menus. They decided in the fall of 2023 that they could make their dreams a reality by joining forces, and so, Elderberry Provisions was born.
